Who we are, what we aim to achieve, and how the Society is organised.
Who we are
Chemistry helps make life prosperous and progress-oriented. Coordination chemistry is growing in usefulness across many fields, including pharmaceutical science and materials science. Chemists in Nepal associated with this discipline have formed the Nepal Coordination Chemistry Society (NCCS) to contribute through its application and expansion, in the national interest and in line with professional ethics and the law.
NCCS is an autonomous, organised, self-governing, non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organisation with perpetual succession. It does not engage in income-generating activities outside its objectives, nor provide consultancy services.
The Society is registered under the Associations Registration Act, 2034 (B.S.) with the District Administration Office, Kathmandu.
Objectives
Programmes are conducted without conflicting with the laws of Nepal and after obtaining approval from the concerned bodies.
- This organisation shall be a non-profit, public-welfare social organisation.
- To take initiatives for the development and promotion of knowledge related to chemistry.
- To support the development and dissemination of practical knowledge and technology in chemistry.
- To provide opportunities for the exchange of intellectual ideas gained from training and research experience in chemistry.
- To encourage individuals who contribute to national development through chemistry and related subjects.
What we do
Activities the Society may undertake to achieve its objectives.
- Publish, or arrange the publication of, journals, magazines, bulletins, books and similar materials for disseminating and promoting knowledge related to chemistry.
- Organise national and international seminars, conferences and workshops to share research findings and exchange ideas; and send representatives to programmes of national and international chemists.
